HYDROSAND
Sharper Cut Points. Stable Performance. Lower Maintenance Cost.
Flat-Bottom Pressurized Plenum Design The Hydrosand uses a pressurized lower plenum instead of fixed piping and nozzles. This produces a uniform, evenly distributed upward water velocity across the entire tank cross-section — resulting in a cleaner, sharper cut point and superior separation accuracy compared to conical-bottom classifiers.
Higher Classification Efficiency Flat-bottom classifiers achieve significantly higher separation efficiency because fine particles experience consistent hydraulic forces throughout the vessel. Conical designs suffer from uneven flow, leading to misplaced coarse material in the overflow and fines contamination in the underflow.
Stable, Adjustable Cut Point Configurable to match your target separation size and insensitive to minor feed fluctuations:
Adjustable rising water velocity via pressurized plenum control
Repeatable cut point across varying feed rates and densities
Available cut sizes from 75 to 500 µm depending on model
Reduced Wear and Maintenance Without internal distribution pipes or nozzles, there are fewer wear components exposed to abrasion. Hot-vulcanized discharge cones provide long service life and stable underflow discharge. The vessel is protected with a slurry-resistant eco-friendly coating — eliminating the debonding and fatigue common with cold-bonded rubber linings.
Operational Value Seamless integration with direct feed, hydrocyclone overflow, or dry material sources allows drop-in fit to new or existing plant layouts. The result: improved product quality, reduced downstream reprocessing, and lower total cost of ownership across the equipment lifecycle.
